Dear Diary,
I’M FINALLY IN ITALY!!!!!!!!! I’m so excited to finally be here. My plane ride here was so long. I somehow was able to stay awake the whole ride over there. I’m pretty surprised I was able to do that! I’m so excited to be able to travel around Italy so soon. I can’t believe I’m finally here!!! I’m super tired right now so I am going to sleep until tomorrow when I can start my adventures around Italy!

Dear Diary,
Oh my gosh! Venice is amazing. There’s so much to see and so many different things to see. I love how you have to always take a gondola to get around the city. I was so overwhelmed when I got to Venice at first. I didn’t know what to do first. I’ve heard nothing, but good things about all of Venice. This morning I didn’t know if I should look at the amazing artwork in Venice or if I should tour the city, or if I should even just take the day to get to know my way around where I am staying. I decided that my best bet was to stay close to “home” and find my way around the town so that I knew where the good places to eat were and where I could buy anything that I might need to get me through the week.

Dear Diary,
After the first day in Venice, I’m really starting to feel the jet lag. I almost don’t want to go out and do anything. But I over heard someone talking about Carnevale. I was curious what it was so I went back up to my room and looked online to see what it was. Apparently it is the world’s largest and most famous masked ball and it was going to be happening on the last day I was in Venice! So of course I definitely wanted to go to that! Now I just had to find something amazing to wear. I looked around all day for just the right dress. I finally found it when I got to the last store I was planning on going to. It was a stunning black dress. It looked amazing on me if I do say so myself. Off to bed to see what the next day brings!!

Dear Diary,
After a day filled with shopping I figured I had to find my way around Venice by gondola. So I went on the gondola and I was having a nice ride with my friend that I met when all of a sudden we started tipping. We had to try to even out the weight and we thankfully did. We felt the water after we almost tipped and it was really cold. I am so glad that we did not fall in the water. I would have had to walk all the way from where I picked up the gondola back to my hotel. Dinner was awesome tonight!

Dear Diary,Since I found the perfect dress for the Carnevale I knew I had to find the perfect mask to go with it. I must have searched every store in Venice for a mask, just to come up short of finding a mask. I was so very upset to have to just retreat to my hotel room. On the way back to the hotel, I noticed a little shop that had different things in it so I decided what the heck I'll go inside. What was inside? My perfect mask!!!! It was gorgeous. It had some feathers coming off of it that were different colors. It was beautiful and it was all mine!!!

Dear Diary,
Last night was the Carnevale. It was so beautifully decorated and it was such an amazing time. I don't think there could have been a better way to end my time in Venice! There was dancing, amazing food, amazing people to be around, and an overall good vibe throughout the entire night. Last night was too amazing for words!
